Is there a computer module for this or is it a failing switch?

Yup, wouldn't hurt to swap some relays around to see if that is it. Or to check the blades on them for corrosion. That's how I found an intermittent crank issue that popped up on me back in January. I replaced it with a new one and knock on wood it's been fine since.

Unfortunately, I think these relays are likely soldered into the fusebox.

I believe I have found the cause of the many electrical gremlins I've experienced, tonight I found a very loose ground wire on the firewall. I cleaned the connection and tightened it. I will be doing over 5 hours of driving tomorrow and will report back afterwards. Background I had recently replaced the brake pedal position sensor and the wiper/turn signal stalk, and continued to have issues.
