Does anyone know if the Belltech drop spindles are aluminum or iron? also do the PPV Tahoes come factory with aluminum spindles or Iron? If I order the Belltech kit, will it fit any version? I thought I read that they aren't interchangeable unless you get different arms too.

Gen-x-1, looks awesome brother. How are you not rubbing with those 24's? My 22's rub in the front when turning.

Also, are you running the Street Performance series shocks? I removed all the factory mag ride and rear air shocks and I'm not thrilled with the SP series from Belltech.

I rub a tiny bit on the front left. I am running the Belltech Street Performance shocks. They ride great for me other than the passenger rear bottoming out for some strange reason.

Same with me. The rear of my suburban is bottoming out as well. Glad I'm not the only one.

Do you have any suggestions or fixes?
If your lowered and its bottoming out, my guess its most likely just hitting on the bumpstop. Most likely need the free travel mod done. How low are you? Or possibly the rear shocks are too long.

reviving this from a few months ago..... I bottom out on the passenger rear as well and I did the free travel mod. I am on 2-4 drop with 295/35/24 tires. I still have factory rear air shocks and I was blaming a bad shock for it.... after seeing this maybe that isnt the issue after all??

I would measure your shocks and assure they are not too long.

4” rear drop you need shock relocation brackets at the least.

They are the factory shocks so I guess they could be with a 4" drop.
Yea…do You have brackets that lower the bottom shock mounts? If not im sure thats your problem. It wouldnt be without the free travel mod, but with that it could.

Shock extenders came with the kit and free travel mod was done about 2 years ago

Well, if the shock extenders are for the original kit with no free travel mod, then that could still be your issue. The free travel mod gains more compression…something that the stock shocks with extenders may not be able to handle.

If you only bottom out once in a while on bigger compression bumps, i would have to guess its your shocks bottoming out before you actually hit the bumpstops.

I did a 2/4 drop a few years ago..... shock extenders came with the kit and were installed with everything else. About a year later I did the free travel mod b/c I would sit on the bump stops with very little load. I am having the same issue these other guys are with the passenger rear...... I feel like mine could be a bad factory shock but one person said they had belltech shocks so there for I wonder it is worth getting after market shocks if I am going to have the same issue.
