Custom wheel place locally confirmed if I want to run 35 nitros with 24 inch wheels, all I need to do is “swap” the rear and front setup, no level/lift is needed.

Anyone else experience this?

Without any context, I'm completely lost with your post, and I do want to understand. What does 'swap the rear and front setup' mean?
lol I’m lost too. They appeared to breeze through it when they were talking to me about the tire/wheel options. Dude looked under my Yukon and said “yep, you are good - we just swap rear/front and that gives you the lift, so we don’t need to charge for a lift other than the labor for the swap”.

He said it was a hack many aftermarket places know of with the yukons that have the air ride.

Note this is an extremely reputable place that does a TON of work for everyone in the area.

They’re referring to swapping the sensor arms on the air ride height sensors. There are several posts from folks who have used the adjustable links, but you can also just move the rear arms to the front and vice-versa and achieve a similar outcome (~2” of lift) which combined with a fender pull-back in the front (and a slight adjustment to the automatic running boards, if you have them) allow for the fitment of 35x12.5 tires with little to no rubbing.

Yea that’s it! They said they could essentially accomplish the Hurst Autoplex look using this method.

Ive also read about this. But, it makes no sense to me…if the length of the front and rear links are different, and switching them makes one end go up, wouldnt the other end go down?

I assume no because the vehicle rides higher in the rear normally.

No. For whatever reason they work opposite. You’ll see the same if you read the instructions for the adjustable links (EdgyMods, etc). I don’t recall which is which, but for one set you lengthen the rod, and for the other you shorten them.

Thank you for this, as I was getting ready to order those adjustable links. What I can't find is anything referencing the adjustment to the running boards?

You may not need to move the running boards. We used the links but with 35x11.5 tires there's plenty of clearance.

Any chance this shop is in the KC area? If so I’d appreciate the name. I’m looking for a similar setup but not entirely trusting of the shops I’ve talked to so far.

If your conservative with wheel offset, you won't have to adjust the running boards. I have a thread detailing my 315/70R17 with no lift (requires fender liner mod).
