I drove it without the grill for a while. Slow, hilly roads. There are some know chit 5% grades in my neighborhood. About 10 miles of that with no issues or leaks.

R&R the grill, about 10 minutes each way.

Disconnecting the fluid lines from the oem cooler, well this ain’t no gmt900. That takes about 30 seconds, if you’re slow. These? I see you peeking but you can’t get close.

funny thing, I put mine in like 4 years ago or so and the worm clamps and/or the hose have decided to start leaking in the last couple days
so ordered these to prevent that from ever happening again
I would have just ordered two of the female quick connects but I cut the oem bent line that fits thru the shroud to the oem cooler so now it will just be a male quick connect to 6an
these allow you to convert the trucool to 6an and then back to oem quick connect.
the 5/8" fitting connects to the trucool, that converts it to 6an, then the 6an converts back to gm oe

I ended up cutting mine as well. Holy carp, they’re difficult to get access to.

I used inline fittings I had bought a year ago for this.

I used the cooler fittings plus tubing to plug the original cooler to keep dirt and bugs out.

I would ditch those worm clamps, I actually had better ones on mine but the hose I think deteriorated some as well, it was bleeding pretty good. I chopped a piece of the hose off and re-attached it for now until the AN hoses and fittings get here. It did take a good 4-5 years to decide to leak

More tuning! These L83s really like the added timing and leaning out the PE tables! I'm not done yet, but tuning the DD table is fantastic. Im using this tool to do it:

This thing drives like a totally different beast!

the silverado doesn't have that loop on the drivers side it goes out and straight down

the ICT billet piece will go here instead of that cut off line

So much better access!
not really I just have the shroud cover off, leaving it off until the parts get here, that and the factory airbox is removed for a CAI, that allows for a lot more room
other than that the oem transmission cooler just sits on top of the ac condenser. I think that's the only difference. Not sure why your's exits the top of the radiator must be a 2015 thing, the wifes 2016 is the same as the silverado.

the 6an lines arrived quickly. I ordered a 24" & 36" but the 36 is going to be too short for what I need so ordered a longer 4.5' just to be on the safe side and ordered a 6an 90deg fitting for the passenger side upper connection

How far upstream are you going?
just need the drivers side line to reach over to the passenger side connection, I am pretty sure 36" is not long enough by eye balling it anyway. a 48" would probably be fine but the 54" was the same price. I won't know for sure until I get all the other parts and take the grill and shutter off again.
***And after measuring the 36" line I ordered is actually only 30" but I am pretty sure 36 would not be enough anyway
