Good morning. Has anyone tapped into 12 volt in order to run power to the driver's side pillar? I am installing a Proclip pillar mount with a Scosche wireless charger there and am looking for a clean way to run wires and tap into the 12 volt system somehow. These vehicles are definitely well covered under the dash compared to what I'm used to so finding pathways for wires is a little more difficult. I'm not opposed to just going through the firewall either if anyone knows if there is a good access point there.

Thanks in advance!

should be VERY easy to just pull the pillar cover off and run wires straight down to the kickpanel by your left foot
keep in mind there is a airbag there so that really is not the best place for a phone holder, but it is what it is
also creates a nice blind spot, you'll want to mount that as low as possible, people turning left in front of you will be not visible at certain angles or pedestrians approaching from the left

I'm sure they make cup holder chargers. Do you really need to see your phone? Everything you possibly need when driving can be displayed on the vehicle radio screen and read out to you.

I’m running a vent clip and it’s fine. I agree, adding to the A post is more blockage for things to avoid.
