Over the weekend I upgraded the audio to an Android style radio. I wanted something that looked factory. I've been using a Carpuride Apple CarPlay system that was FM transmitted or Aux. It sounded great. I wanted something a bit more permanent. I went from this.

I picked this one because I still like to listen to the occasional CD, even though I have a ton of music on my phone, and other ways. To me there's nothing like loading a CD into the slot. This particular unit has a built in GPS, WiFi, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, the whole nine yards.
Now I need to resticker my AC decal.

Is the CarPlay wireless? I bounced back and forth between this “oem” look and another radio. I ended up buying the other radio and now I’m having issues with the volume knob about 2 years later.

The system has 360 camera capabilities. I think I will add that next. It looks pretty cool to have that.

Are you happy with it? Do you have to subscribe to any thing with it, like GPS?

It’s great. It comes with a built in navigation. It also has the ability to to run Google Maps and or Waze independently. The system is WiFi enabled and has the ability to put a 4G SIM card. I didn’t use that, I just used my phones hotspot. The best part of all, it supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. That’s what I use most of the time. The canbus now shows a car on the screen with the door open when I open the door.
