New gen front brakes/rotors on 2016

I have read up on the ppv brake upgrade, but don't think they are right for me, the 4 piston front brake upgrade from the newest gen standard front brakes seems a much better deal for not spending much more than our stock brakes. they are 13.50in verse our 12.99in rotor and 4 piston calipers vs our 2 piston. Has any here done this upgrade? Seems it need washers just like the PPV system. Thanks!

I wonder how many folks have done before and after 60/70 to 0 tests to see if these mods are actually worth the effort?

A quick look through Car & Driver shows about the same distance between K2s and T1s despite the latter being 200 pounds heavier.

If you drive like you stole it, the upgrade will definitely be worth it.
If you drive Miss Daisy, the 12.99" rotors bitten by 2 pistons will be FINE (unless you are easy to surprise).

Darn, the 4pistons did? I was hoping they were just small enough to clear. I have factory 22's as well on my 2016.

Most of the DIY articles say that you will most likely need wheel spacers to clear. I personally didn't but it's DAMN close, lol.

well received my 4-pots, brake pads & stainless steel brake line already this week.
just waiting on my rotors to show up..tracking says this friday..so some wrenching
this weekend.

2016 LTZ with 22", so hopefully the calipers fit without "interference"..pictures to follow..

I did this swap on a 2013 Tahoe.Had to use the 1/8" washers to center the calipers and 1/4" spacer for the OEM 5 spoke wheels to clear.

Just did this on my 15 xl and my factory 22's did not fit. I went with these spacers since they are hub centric. The tires have about a 1/4" poke, a 3/4" spacer would have been perfect for flush to the fender, I may machine them when I have time.

so I finally installed the 4-pots.
I needed 1/2" wheel spacers to get the wheel (22" snowflakes) to the calipers.
I used 2 washers for 1/8" to center the caliper.

hunting for other factory wheels that will clear the calipers..20s or 22s..
