Called them guy said he triple checked it while warm he made sure it was filled right told me I bet you the seal between the transfer case and transmission is leaking fluid into the transfer case causing it to be low and shift rough. Also said he made sure because he said if you overfill them they blow the torque seal so it must be slowly going wife also said it’s not acting up anymore driving normal

OK.....this is crazy......5 pages?.....Can a mod please close this thread.

The OP (joined Jan 12 2025) got some sage level information on page 1 from OG posters....and we are all still dealing with this BS

At this point the OP is clearly trolling the board.

You did tell them it was overfilled right? Not under filled.

Hopefully your wife isn't like someone's I know that will just say it's fine. Even though it isn't until it does crap the bed then it's my, I mean the someone else's husband's problem.

Wife is fired! May wanna look for a new model. :)

Wife: It drives terribly, but I don't care. I'm driving it anyway. (Note: Rental cars are cheaper then new transmissions.)
Husband: Now you sound like my ex wife.
Wife: I didn't know you were married previously.
Husband: I wasn't.

@NickTransmissions - any thoughts on this?
My thoughts: Sounds like a *********** of immense proportions, lol. Agree with you and many others - why is this dood posting this instead of taking care of business with his wife when it comes to that poor vehicle.

As far as overfillig a trans causing his problems - yes. If any trans is overfilled to enough of an extent, the pump will cavitate and start to eat itself as the rotor/slide start to aggressively erode the working surfaces. This leads to a collapse of the line pressure curve inside the unit resulting in burnt clutches and torque converter. Not sure why the OP's wife continued to drive it instead of parking it/taking it back to the shop but it's none of my business.

Hope he gets a new transmission and torque converter (not a GM converter or he'll find himself back at square one before he knows it).

Interesting thread, to be sure.
