Do you know the proper way to check the transmission fluid?Ok this is my wife’s vehicle and I am the one who has to constantly repair it. The cooling line was leaking slowly so we purchased a new line. Made an appointment to get ok tire to change the line. Apon driving it home from the shop it was slipping and hard shifting, so I pulled over and checked the fluid level was way overfull ! So I informed my wife about this and she said well I need my vehicle and continues using it even though it’s slipping .
Didn't say you were, but did you have the engine running while checking? Two or three inches over is what it would look like with the engine off.Yes when cold there’s a indicator and when hot running there’s a cross section that should show when full with a hot transmission it was way over that full line by about 3” past that full marker I am not stupid have been working on vehicles a while now !
If you are talking about using a water spray bottle top with an extension, that thick fluid is not gonna spray thru that water tip, but I like the idea. better have some really strong hands for all that lever squeezing. So like a spray bottle will work? with a long tube connected to it I’m thinking ?
It was slipping because the fluid level was low from the leak that is why we changed the line
what does the paperwork from the shop say?Yes it was running when I checked it and yes it was overfull pulled out dipstick wiped it off and was still way over the full line even with engine cold just started I checked it was overfull even warm it was over the full line
ok, well you asked for help, if the dumbtards added a exorbitant amount exceeding what should have been needed for a simple line change then you might have "written" proof they f-ucked it up. good luckYes said a charge for the fluid vehicles not here to tell you the amount
Sounds like OK Tire only hires OK techs that say everything they do is OK when they are done. When dropped off the fluid level was in the middle off the cross sectioned full level indicator. The vehicle was warm driving on the highway when I pulled over to check the level “ with it still running” and was still over full, wiped it off did it 2 more times indicated way over the full indicator
