Brake and Turn Signals are separate circuits on each side. The reverse lights are a single circuit which is why you only need three resistors on one side and two on the other. It doesn't matter which harness goes on which side. Sorry for the delay but I'm still waiting for them to get the listing up on the site.

Do you happen to have pictures at night of your bulb setup?

Makes sense.

Those are 3 enormous resistors! Wouldn't you need 4, marker, brake, turn signal, reverse? Or or all 3 resistors shown here solely for the reverse light circuit?
Interesting that they are using 100 Watt while many folks have used 50 Watt on each light. I wonder if they feel that the extra resistance gives more reliable results?

The way I understand it the wattage is the amount of heat the resistor can handle before it begins to fail and in the case of our turn signals start hyperflashing. Lasfit offers a bulb that has a built in resistor but they warn if it's left on too long it will over heat and begin to hyperflash. Their resolution is to turn it off and let it cool. If I'm understanding correctly these 100 watt resistors allow for more heat load lowering the chance our bulbs will hyperflash or cause errors. Like I said earlier I measured one of these at 232 degrees and the longer you sit in reverse or hold your foot on the brake the hotter these things will get. I could be way off but I think I'm right. Additionally on the gen5diy site they sell these resistors as an upgrade "for those that are experiencing an issue with your tail lights hyper flashing after some time."

I'm going to go ahead and give y'all the full install video. I'm not sure what the delay is on getting the product on the site. Hopefully its out soon so you are able to order.

No guarantees but I have reached out to Diode Dynamics to see if they would offer some discount if you purchased the same set of bulbs I used.

Absolutely phenomenal work.

Take my money please. You deserve it for the work you put into this.

Here is the response I got from Diode Dynamics. Honestly I think the cost of the bulbs gets you free shipping anyway but they do say they have a sale coming up and provided a free shipping code...

"Thank you for reaching out and sending that video! Unfortunately, due to our MRP policy with our authorized Diode Dynamics dealers. We're unable to authorize discount codes outside sale periods. However, we do offer an exclusive code for free US shipping on any new or future orders using the code below.

Coupon Code: FSX72C4HS

You can share this with the forum as well. We are also going to be having a sale for Memorial Day."

I have not had a single error since installation. I was told the listing would be up on the site today but if you don't want to wait any longer send them an email or call the number on the site. He told me he had already had someone reach out and he had sold a set. Hopefully it's listed by the end of the day.

i love the set up. But that 200 degree temperature in the relay gives me pause

I can't remember where I found it but I believe operating temperature on these resistors is up to 315 degrees. The heat of the resistors was the whole point of the idea to locate them under the bumper. The 230 degree reading was with the vehicle sitting in reverse with the parking brake set so it wouldn't be normal to stay in reverse that long.

How long was it in reverse to get to the 230 degree mark?
You may not know the answer to this next question.
How are the Yukon’s rear lights wired in? Would they simply plug into the Chevy harness or do they have additional resistors too?

I don't remember how long it was in reverse but the Yukon lights are full LED. The issue is programming. The Yukons are meant to have LED so the computer looks for appropriate voltages. The Tahoe's are meant to have incandescent bulbs so the computer looks for that appropriate voltage. The ideal solution would be a reprogram of the computers but the new architecture of the electronic systems is encrypted and so far isn't reprogrammable. If you want error free LED tail lights on a Tahoe or suburban this is the only solution to my knowledge.

It's still not up on their website yet.
