I think it would be sorta neat to wire my fog lights (which i never use) to act as turn signals, and put amber bulbs in them. Maybe the Escalade harness will allow this if I buy one to put on the Tahoe.

And then, for the turn signals in the headlight assembly, I'd just put white bulbs in those and wire them to run with the DRL's.

Or, as another idea, move the DRL's to the fogs and make the former DRL's amber and run with the turn signals.

It sounds possible, what do you guys think? I might do a bit of photo-shopping to help get a good idea of it.

Here is the photshopped picture of the first idea.

And the second. I cropped it because it wouldn't edit the left side for some reason.

BTW idk who's tahoe that is but if you're reading this I hope you don't mind me using it, lol. It was a very good picture of a Tahoe with the DRL's on.

It sounds possible, if I could just find some amber fogs. Just extend the wire from the turn signals down to it, and then split the DRL wires over to the old turn signals. That way everything turns on when it's supposed to, and then all I would need are the right color bulbs.

I like the Mercedes thing where the left or right fog light turns on depending what direction the steering wheel is turned.

That sounds cool but I don't see a point to it.

Well, I'd love to do it but I have no idea how to do ANYTHING with wiring...and I don't know anyone who does!

My brother's best friend own a car/home audio and theater store, and he installs them for a living...maybe he could do it.

it wont be that hard at all!

just extend the turn signal wiring to the fogs, then for the DRLs just slice a new set of wires off and connect.

It lights up the side you are turning to. Luxury cars years and years ago used to have "turning lights" that came on when you turned the steering wheel. But then again, I don't run my fog lights all the time. If you run your fogs all the time you would not need it.

Keep one thing in mind when you change the wiring. When you have an electrical glitch like I have had now twice in the last three months, the first thing they will blame is anything you did. Mine is completely stock and they still can't find my problem. They had it for two weeks at Christmas and thought they figured it out and now that have had it over a week and "can't replicate".

Has anyone had luck running the fog's as DRL's? I'm putting HID projectors on my 07 Denali. I had HID's on the stock headlights before and since the HID's were on all the time due to DRL, the ballast died after like 10 months.

I think it should be as simple as finding their wires and splicing them into the fogs.
