Black Grille options?

I am waiting on a 23 denali yukon. The wife hates the chrome grille. Does anyone know if I can get a grille that has not been chromed yet? So I can have it painted. Paint shop says painting over chrome is sketchy and would not warranty it. Or buy a gloss black oem grille with matching hood trim. Or best case she likes the Vader grille but the dealer couldn‘t tell me if it would fit. Any suggestions I’m up for. I like oem ideally. Buying cheap junk online will not do. Thank you in advance.

U can definitely just find a custom shop and have it painted to whatever color u like as well as the chrome trim. Check out @Stbentoak truck, he could give u details what he did. His is the original Vader chrome Denali

Funny my wife had the same reaction when I took her to the dealership. I was so ready for the purchase and she said "why so much chrome? Sales said the local paint shop can black out for $5k-$7K but then the price will be very close to a Ultimate Denali.

I'm interested to see how this works out for you. I'm sure the price is a lot less than having a shop paint the stock grill but I'm wondering more about the quality and fit of this eBay black grill.
