While the CK375s area nice looking wheel I like option 1, little more updated than the 375s and I think they would look great on the esky.

Another nagging issue with this vehicle is cruise control. When I originally got it the cruise didn't work and I thought it was possibly due to the lights being on that are now fixed. Long story short, that was an incorrect hope and dream. While test driving after my fixes over the weekend I got cruise to engage ONCE but not again since then so I've come to the conclusion that it's the switch on the steering wheel. The button does feel less than firm from 14 years of use so I ordered an OEM switch from Rock Auto that arrived yesterday. During some breaks from work this morning I'm planning on replacing that switch. Fingers crossed that I have cruise control when the job is done. While the battery is disconnected I'll be removing a couple of fuses per @iamdub 's suggestion a couple pages back and hoping that might remove my "Service Suspension System" message.

Welp....work happened but nothing was accomplished New switch installed, just like the old one all functions function but Cruise Control will not engage. Checked fuses and apparently cruise doesn't have it's own fuse. Hit up the Google machine and it states that this could be caused by a number of issue (Throttle Position sensor, VSS, wheel speed sensor, Cruise Control Actuator, Cruise Control Module) but all of them are supposed to throw CES lights and/or cause the rig to run crappy and none of that is happening so not sure what to hit up next short of just throwing parts at it.

Also tested the fuse removal suggested by @iamdub and didn't have any luck with that, either. Message still on DIC.


Long story short, nothing to see here. Hands are dirty for no reason as nothing was accomplished. So pretty much a typical day in the life

Did you disconnect the battery before you pulled the ALC fuses? If not, put them back in, start the truck and let it run for a few minutes and then shut it off, disconnect the battery and then pull the fuses.

Yes I did. I pulled them at the same time as I was doing the switch replacement with the battery disconnected.

Probably got disabled when the death strobes were installed.

My Tahoe did this too, and it was the brake switch above the brake pedal. My brake lights did work with the old switch, but my cruise did not work. I replaced the switch, and my cruise worked again.

I think the brake lights work off a reading of the brake fluid pressure somehow. Easy test is to just unplug that switch and see if your brake lights still light up. You can do it in your comfy garage in slippers, now man up and do it. Remember the key needs to be on too. And report back what you find.

@07Burb probably wouldn't hurt to check the switch on the parking brake pedal too while under there, just vacuum or blow it out. Preventive maint. Remember mine?
