Twice my key has opened doors and remote starts but not recognized to start car. Clears after 30 min first time and hours second time. Dealership has no clue but stranded the last time. Any ideas? 2021 Tahoe. Thanks

Replace FOB battery?

Next time it happens, try putting the key in the spot recommended in the owners manual (driver side cup holder) and see if it starts.

Did not work either time. Tried battery and placement. Seems to be more of a computer issue.

I had same issue. Only got it to recognize it after leaving battery disconnected over 8 hours. Also before disconnecting the battery it went into thief mode.

Dealer wanted me to have towed to them (40+miles) at my expense. It was still under warranty, lol on service dept.

Same thing happened to my 19 Denali. I could be standing next to it and fob wasn't recognizes-other times if I turned sideways it would work. Dealer finally replaced antenna amplifier and problem solved.1669668733349.png
