Getting back on topic. Still making progress. Most f the major dash pieces are in now.

Thanks Jeremiahm. I agree. I had one of those old school vehicles a very long time ago. A bit of a retro look while reinforcing and hopefully mitigating the cracked dash issues on this generation vehicles. Most of the pieces are in now. I have a few stragglers that are in work now.

For whatever reason, I had that one as a nbs in my mind. That interior work looks great! I've always loved the look of a smoothed and painted dash. Tons of work to do it right. You nailed it

Just found 2 cracks on my 13 Tahoe dash. The large one actually is impossible to find when cool and only separates when warm. I guess I am in good company. Probably will go with the top dash skin in dark tan (or whatever they call it! )
Anyone ever apply one lately?

the only issue with a cap is if the cluster ever needs to come out you will have to pull the cap off

Depending how accessible the cracks are, I’d do a drill point at the end of each one then hot staple the crack itself just so it doesn’t get worse then get a dash carpet. I put one in my suburban and it fit super nice

I don't know why I didn't post this earlier, but I got this to try to keep the pieces together and from falling apart and down into the dash structure. It's quite strong and uses very little. Hoping to apply it this weekend as my dash is in pieces haha.

Have you tried a little test spot of glue? Usually the instant adhesive stuff dries very brittle and can/will come apart when you hit bumps or the dash rattles for whatever reason

I haven't yet, today was crappy out. I'm going to put a dab on a section tomorrow morning. I'll let yah know how it goes.
It's pretty rugged stuff, used it on my daughters' boyfriend's dirt bike plastics and it's held up surprisingly well. It's pretty impressive stuff, it's different than a super glue. At least how it reacts once it has contact with plastic.

Inspection time came around and the backlights on my cluster had blown since the last inspection. My dash was already cracked to all hell. Took the cluster out and shipped it off to ACS for a rebuild and upgrade.

Finally decided it was time to hunker down and get the dash replaced.

Dash and Dash extender picked up from the Chevy dealership… waiting on the cluster to come back and the interior rebuild begins.

2024 price was 1k for both dash parts.

This is currently what I have...P/N 20959607



Looking online for my year make and model, I find P/N 23224747 which will be about $1250.

But, if I look up my part number that I have, it translates to P/N 19331336 which is $1450.


So, with those in the know, what's the difference?

I thought that too, but it seems that P/N 19331331 is the one with the center speaker...

I just discovered the dlr had snookered me with a Velcro'd down cover.
Never noticed it on the test drive, either.
On the way home it rattled.. it was then I noticed loose ends.
An LTZ...Does the entire dash have to be replaced or only the top?
I saw a dash carpet mentioned. May look at that as it won't rattle.
Other ideas??

I have the dash carpet. Carhart...it's pretty nice.Velcro holds it down and it's easy to install. Good Luck
