SLT leather power seat,Is there any way of getting this seat lower? Tall guy I find it doesnt go down enough.
Previous owner was a small guy so seat is still pretty firm.Wondering if an interior shop could remove foam or some how make it lower.
Thanks

The power seat should be able to be lowered with switch, You might look under seat to see if something is not letting it go completely down.

Do you have power pedals? Well, I guess if you did you'd have already tried to adjust them for comfort.

I seem to remember a post like this some years ago. Don't remember the outcome but you should find it with a thorough search.

I'm 6'1" and while that's on the high side of average, I have no problem wearing a 10-gallon hat in mine while I drive with plenty of room to spare. My guess is that your power seat height function isn't working.

Well with the sunroof option my head is about one inch away. From the frame. I’m 6’6”
Seat goes down just fine.
Any info related to the question?

Well, I wouldn't mess with foam seat cover won't fit correctly, you could pull seat out and see if seat brackets can be altered, I'm sure body shop could fabricate something.

Ya that’s what I thought. Wondering if turning the seat down manually may gain some space? Probably not I assume theirs stops to prevent it going to far.

Perhaps I should store 400 lbs on the seat for a week. Lol. Should sag the foam a little.

Yea that's why I would pull seat turn over and see what options are available.

I’ve only looked under to see if maybe something was in the way. Assuming 4 bolts and a bunch of wires to unplug?

I know on 2002 driver's seat cushion there are four nuts to take off seat cushion to lift it unhook wires and its out then look at system to see if you can fique something out. And as always unhook battery!

Had a quick look, about a 1 inch drop would start hitting the floor.Theres a hump right about in the middle that would interfere.

Removing carpet and insulation probably would help.

A bar right in the front like a handle would have be cut off.

Havent been driving the unit much,it was purchased to be a flip.Sitting in it my head hits the roof around the sunroof.Id need like a 2.5-3" drop for it to work.

Nice unit but just too much work to make it comfortable for me.

Thanks.

Ya that kinda works,I move the base closer so I dont have to reach for the wheel.
A telescoping steering wheel would sure help.

Looking around on the net there are some company's making steering wheel extensions.Spacers and the like.
Interesting idea.
