Folks I find myself reconsidering my order for a 2022 Yukon XL Denali. I placed my order the first week of January. According to my dealer nothing has changed since that day. My dealer says my order is waiting to be accepted by GM, today is April 9th.
About 2 weeks ago I started chatting with GM. That is a shit show as I’ve been told it HAS been “officially accepted” and I have been told it’s “not officially accepted”. I’ve also been told my event code is currently 4000.
As I read on here other posts stating they did receive their vehicle but was “watered” down due to constraints. I do not want a sloppy second as I want what I’ve ordered.
You guys have settled for less than your desired wants for your vehicle, I’m happy for you. I’m tired of waiting and getting nothing from my dealer and getting idiots on the GM chat. One would think after 3 months my order status should have changed, but apparently it hasn’t.
I’m paying cash for my order, I’m thinking about taking my money elsewhere and purchase a different type vehicle.

Anyone else reconsidering their order as well?
What’s the details/packages on your order? And your salesman can very easily look up your status on his computer on a Saturday.
Edit: I see you ordered the rear seat entertainment, if u didn’t remove that it’s never going to get accepted. It’s been discontinued. If u want that go get a grand wagoneer or expedition

The general manager has taken over by order several weeks ago. My salesman called me on a Monday and told me my vehicle would be delivered on Wednesday. I was extremely excited!!!
On Wednesday I called and ask for me salesman and was told the general manager has taken over your order. Apparently, according to the general manager a vehicle that was built to about 75% of what I wanted was arriving on Wednesday and my salesman told it was mine, the one I ordered. In fact it was only 75% of what I wanted so the general manager said he’d be my contact from now on. We did remove the RES from the vehicle. This is crazy!

I think GM is king. I just wish I knew if I was getting one.

Everyone is different - but if you "need" one - go ahead and get it and then you can move towards getting another one exactly the way you want.

If you just want one, and have some odd "wants" - be prepared to not buy anything for a year or so

I just had the exact opposite happen, dealer had a stock inventory order that I was able to be tagged on back in Feb. Went in to the dealer and asked about any updates this week, was told TPW was first week of May, two hours later I was called and told that they would no longer be able to let me buy that one as it had been promised to someone else...it get worse

point is, anything a dealer is willing to "let" you buy, as long as its not at some absurd markup would hard to pass up

I’m buying with 100% cash, absolutely no financing, so I was going to trade every year or so anyway.

If u have that kind of money why don’t u look for Escalade platinum, the RSE was standard on that trim and there’s some floating around out there. Probably pay a markup tho.

In the same boat but my boat set sail on October 8th, ordered a Tahoe RST, several items have been on and off restraint. Still in “submitted but not accepted“. Been told several different things as you have. But seeing as how I got mine at $3K under MSRP, I’ve been patient. I’ve heard anything not “accepted” by 4/30/22 will be turned into a ‘23 order and won’t be produced until the fall. Not sure if that’s true or not.

If you plan to trade every year or so, you had better go ahead and place orders now for your next vehicle; it'll possibly be time to trade before it's even built.
