My fat ass fell out of the bed overnight and hit the floor. Banged my elbow and back up and nose hit the nightstand on the way down so that was bleeding all over. Lots of fun.

Snuck my wretched ass under the Tahoe and replaced the AC tensioner today. Tight fit into the garage! Part came with this tech bulletin in the box.

When I did mine on the 07 a few years back I just hung myself over the grill. was pretty easy to get to that way.

Yeah I got that push bar now so that takes some gut room away LOL. Wasn't bad from underneath. 15 MM socket handled the whole project. The splash shield pops right off and you got a clear shot. It was actually good to see under the front there from that perspective. Get a good look at things under there. I actually used the opportunity to blast the timing cover and pan area off with some brake kleen to clean up a bit.

I always do it from the bottom as well. I'm not tall enough to reach it without standing on a step ladder. Then the step ladder kicks out, I smash the ribs and stomach, get mad. Then slide under there, pop the shield off and work comfortably, laying down...

Does anyone happen to know the correct transfer case to rear driveshaft seal?
4x4 with the "Auto"

Doing searching, I'm not seeing one that looks identical to mine and calling out the Auto transfer case + 6l80

Yup, hate that.
This time around I put down the cash for a topside creeper.

I wish I started out with the topside creeper; it makes everything so much easier.
Only hard part, where the hell am I going to store that thing when I'm done?!

I'm already looking at methods to modify it to either disassemble easier using rivnuts, or some method to fold it flatter.

I had a plan of "Sheds" for this year.
That would have resolved all of my storage issues.
But that has been canceled.

Focused on the HoeMare aka "why or why didn't I buy the red tahoe", tahoe... :jester:

Is there any trick to get rid of or clean up the scratches from the rear wiper?
if there isn't like actual scratches in the glass this stuff works great for cleaning hard water spots, stains, grime, takes some elbow grease but it makes the glass look like new again I was impressed.

That’s the problem with rear wipers. The glass gets dirty and people don’t realize the wiper is on and it gets dry so it scratches the hell out of the glass. If there’s an actual pattern from the wiper that you can see, it’s probably too late. Nu-Glass works for everything else. It’s like glass stovetop cleaner, it has a bit of grit in it but not enough to scratch glass, only clean it up real good.

Yeah the glass is scratched up from the wiper. That's half the reason I deleted it. Don't miss it at all. Wasn't sure if there was some new founded tech savy way to get rid of the footprint of the scratched glass. No biggie though.

Spent the evening last night clay baring the truck. My first time doing that. Got the whole front end and driver's side done in an hour or so. Still need to do the rear end and pass r/f door to the rear and the roof.

I rotated the tires this afternoon. Used my new Ridgid 18v cordless impact. Worked great. When installing the lug nuts I used setting #2 then went around with my torque wrench set to 140lb ft and it only took about 2-3 quarter turns with that to hit the torque spec
Did that on theothertwin a week ago. Used very little of the 4Ah battery capacity.

I haven’t used mine yet other than to test and see if it would remove the lugs. Nice to know it works great for doing all 4 wheels at once.

Hardly used any of the battery. I previously used it last week to unbolt the rear coil overs on the 33 Ford so I could replace the upper and lower bushings and re-installed. It's been sitting on the bench with the same battery attached. I checked the level before I started the tire rotation then after I was done and there was no change.

On the first wheel I had the power selector switch on auto, but it seemed to take longer to remove the lug nut because it seems to ramp up the power, so I switched it to 3 to remove the rest.

When tightening, I started with setting 1 but it was way too soft, and 2 seemed to work well to tighten them, but not over torque them.
