Just placed our order (using supplier discount) on Saturday for a Suburban RST in Evergreen Grey Metallic + Luxury Package. Dealer said they can have the wheels dipped black for $400. Was hoping someone has done similar with the stock 22s and could post a picture. Thanks!

By dipped black, do you mean plastidipped? It's a PITA to do it right, and a good job, but not worth $400. Sure dip is temporary, but it can be a bigger pain peeling it off. Powdercoating might be better.

Powder coating is better and is the only thing I would accept on stock wheels. Its durable and really not that expensive. Fastest way to get black stock wheels that look sharp...

Thank you both. Yes it will be powder coated, if I choose to go that route. Before I do, I would like to see if anyone else has a picture of theirs' powdercoated black...

400 is a great price for powder coat. Very popular shop in my area charges about 575 for my wife’s 18s and prices go up with wheel size.

I will also say that powder coat is the only way to go for wheels

Anyone do this yet? I have a 2022 Tahoe RST with the stock 22" wheels and would love to see the silver part of the wheels painted/dipped/powdercoated black.

I have had many factory wheels powder coated. That is the correct method if you aren’t going to auto quality paint them. Plastidip is garbage and not permanent.

On the same boat on my blacked out 21 RST. Been actually lagging it but powder coating may be the next thing I do.
