You might want to let it sit for a bit, and then recheck. We had a similar issue when we replaced the battery on my daughter's Sierra. The airbag code cleared in about a day. This is a known issue, per other groups of which I am a member, but no one could tell me why it worked.

Also, you could have wired stuff wrong when you put it back together, damaged wiring in the swap out, or a bad wire finally just went when it was jiggled during the swap out. You might also want to check all your grounds, just as a matter of course. Good luck -- electrical demons suck.

That's what I'm afraid of lol. I did put a new battery in the truck after the swap... I'll just drive it around a bit and go from there. Wife scared to drive it cause the light is on

Possibly a damaged front impact sensor or wiring harness. Does your scanner show any of the code suffixes that would tell you which one? (see the video for the suffixes)

Unfortunately it doesn't...

Since it's a circuit code you may find a loose wire or bad connector. Worth a try to follow the wires back from the sensors to see if you can find an issue.

Looks like I'll try looking for wires first... And then the front sensor's...

my guess is it's a pinched wire somewhere, probably need to find a diagram of the airbag impact sensor wiring harness and check the harness leading up to the 2 front impact sensors

New sensors, did I read that right? What brand?

Need a less generic scanner on it, like a Tech 2, which will better indicated the nature of the fault. Could be a wiring issue, bad or incompatible sensor, etc.

Be sure to save your old sensors; you'll want to match the part number for new sensors. Best to use OE for these replacements.

Swap 2 new sensors and still getting this codeView attachment 357140

it's probably a short as I explained previously

B0084 code possible causes

  • Faulty Front End Sensor 2
  • Front End Sensor 2 harness is open or shorted
  • Front End Sensor 2 circuit poor electrical connection
  • Faulty Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM)

Oem gm ones....

I check the wiring it all looks fine but I might need to pull it all out.

Or just get a better scanner to pin point the issues.

The code is most likely pin point to the passenger front side correct? Not driver side

ya right side, you may want to put a meter on the harness and see what it reads, this video "may" be helpful
KEEP IN MIND YOUR MESSING WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM, A MISTAKE CAN BE EXPENSIVE
