Never liked the sound of a virtual (fakejunk) sensor.
Need to figure out what's making it calculate so incorrectly.
I put in 23.8gals of e85 this morning.
Content sensor only rose from 36.9 to 44.7 after 13mi of driving.

Came a little shy of the "add gas to this level" line, but that's 85% corn right there...

Time to add a physical sensor.

Thank you sir.

Computer Upfitter Controller stuff I suppose.
They stripped the electronics from the sheet metal center console. Left the laptop mount though.
The console was removed from thecopcar when I bought it. I made one from ammo cans. Later I also learned how much wiring had been chopped out.

Theothertwin still had a console but no cover for it. It also had the floor plate fir the laptop post.

Yeah, I actually still have all those parts sitting in the bed of my pickup doing no good but taking up space. Haha
Big ball of wires and all the other components.

Pics on my end...?
Lmao. No. That was posted back before he had a chance to post pics of what he was doing, so it was just the explanations and no pics. It’s all good now.

What was wrong with the manifold?
I was putting in a wideband bung just before the cat. So I unbolted the flange, and the threads on one of the studs came off with the nut and their studs were so rusted in there that the hex on the end of the stud just rounded over as soon as I tried to turn it, so I just went and got a whole replacement manifold. 90 bucks in stock at the local parts store.

that manifold is so pretty.

when i had my engine out, i thought somewhat seriously about removing the heat shield, bead blasting.
then coat with some header paint and reassemble.

in reality, the heatshield bolts will probably break off the moment i try to remove them.
Now it's the only really "old" looking thing about my engine. :jester:

That's not a big deal if they snap off, grind them flush and call it a day. You're going to paint it anyway.

Suppose it's time for an update here...don't think I'm double posting, probably out of order though.
Shifter cable bushing fell apart, replaced it.
Plopped a new maf in.
New head lights.
Put the flex fuel sensor in.

Threw an Amazon catch an on.
Broke the rear diff.
Bought a 139k 14bolt.
Cleaned up the 14b w/g80 gov bomb, new gasket, saw the parking brake shoes delaminated and fell off.
Backlash is .004... tighter than spec, odd for 139k.
"Normal" amount of metal on the magnets for that many miles(assuming it was never serviced).

Sauced it up with amsoil and re-blackened the cover.
