Belt problem resolved? Meh. Now this thread is gonna be boring.

You on corn or race gas?

57% ethanol iirc... put some 93 in it to help fuel pump and injectors a little, but cost me a couple degrees of timing. i think in the tune ive got the cutoff at 60% before it drops timing. everything from there up runs the same timing

there is another "event" tonight - 28" tire shoot out and a street car shoot out, they wanted "hard tire" for the street cars but dude told me they would let me run with the nitto drag radials. usually up to racers to agree with it tho. i kind of want to go and make a couple passes with the front straps tightened up and see if it helps dont care so much about racing but if theyll let me run i may head out there

Could you run avgas to keep your timing and give 'er the beans to see what she has?

Or are you after your best ET on pump gas so that'd be irrelevant to you?

It could be worse anyway since you'd lose the cooling benefits of the alcohol.

could use racefuel but its more of an ET as driven on the street for me. ms109 per 5gal is like 80bux iirc...so spending 160bux just to make a couple passes isnt really worth it for me. do that a few times and i wouldve just paid for injectors. a lot of race fuels are oxygenated also, so you dont gain much going from e85 to them

Speaking of injectors, @Tonyrodz has a question about some he’s looking at buying, over in his build thread. I used to have a link with all the ls based injectors but can’t find it now. Do you have a site where you get your info on them? All I know is the tune needs to be adjusted if you throw bigger ones in, at least that’s what I was told by BB.

i think ICT billet may have a chart on their website of all of the injectors, sizes, part nos

also...one of my wastegate tubes has broken (separated cause ****** weld job?) halfway off the merge pipe lol. i made two runs last night first one did 141mph, second one was like 137mph... i didnt think much of it but the second run shouldve been better and now i guess i know why

I checked out both those sites earlier, can’t find the ones he’s looking at, 17113553. They show as AC Delco OE for 99-07 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 Chevrolet when I Google that number.

Hmm. GMPARTSGIANT shows 1999-2000:

At any rate, IIRC in the post that @Tonyrodz had the person had already bought from the returned Amazon site. The price is too good to be true, IMHO.

I dig it. I like the TNT nights the best due to the abundance of street legal cars pulling double-duty as weekend racers.

He red lit
I spun a lot, straps not tight up front, track prep sucks

Demon was time slip from the right, cut slip so I don't know his times. my reaction time was .170, he leaves about a 1/2 second before me to give you an idea of how red he went. That car would out 60' me anyway but I usually catch and come around 1000' mark or so

started tinkering with cts-v.. researching some mods :emotions36:

pulled the air filter out - it looked like crap, really doubtful that was from me having it two weeks, looked like someone tried to wash it out but its paper. i may grab a cone filter system for it eventually but wanted to replace it asap. amazon has $90 afe dry filters for cheaper than acdelco/wix...so i grabbed 2 of them

swapping the supercharger lid, specifically from these on the cts-v, appears to be worth 20hp+. the lids are lower profile (less plenum volume) than the corvette lt4 lids. but there are also companies selling billet lids with a contoured flow. replacing the intercooler bricks in the sc seem to also help but seems money can be spent elsewhere for better return at stockish level.

pulled the hose for the PCV system back to the intake and there wasnt much oil residue but will prob still grab a catch can at some point

debating on whether or not i want to venture into another chiller mess...
