Another good recommendation.Have you tried when your hearing the noise to simply push the parking brake pedal down?Would answer the parking brake pads sticking-ask me how i know.I removed mine and thru them in the trash.

Now your whole truck is being held in place by the parking pawl inside the transmission. Not too big a deal if you live in South Florida or Kansas. My driveway is angled, we use the parking brake.Have you tried when your hearing the noise to simply push the parking brake pedal down?Would answer the parking brake pads sticking-ask me how i know.I removed mine and thru them in the trash.
I get it but 53 yrs old and owned over 50 different vehicles and never used the parking brake yet.I removed it because it came apart when towing my boat home and almost left me stranded-swore i would never put it back on eliminating a problem.MY 5th boat and have never used it at the boat ramp either those pawls are very strong-never broke one yet.Now your whole truck is being held in place by the parking pawl inside the transmission. Told ya!I updated the original post with the solution---New ROTORS for the win!
Thanks

Well, they've got to be maintained to stay operational. To each his own.I get it but 53 yrs old and owned over 50 different vehicles and never used the parking brake yet.I removed it because it came apart when towing my boat home and almost left me stranded-swore i would never put it back on eliminating a problem.MY 5th boat and have never used it at the boat ramp either those pawls are very strong-never broke one yet.
So the issue was with whoever did the surfacing of the old rotors?I updated the original post with the solution---New ROTORS for the win!
Thanks

But he mentioned it was reputable machine shop. Curious about how they ******* up machining the rotors and the condition of brake lathe usedSo the issue was with whoever did the surfacing of the old rotors?
Understood but the rotors were the issue. Like others I no longer have standard rotors machined. That was done back when they were designed to be surfaced. These days very few are with the exception of some like Brembo or Wilwood that have enough material to be removed without compromising them. But he mentioned it was reputable machine shop. I was agreeing with you. Was trying to understand how they jacked that one up. But someone made a good point that rotors may have not had enough meat to even machine in the first place. Warped on initial use after reinstalling.Understood but the rotors were the issue. Like others I no longer have standard rotors machined. That was done back when they were designed to be surfaced. you cant be serious...that's exactly what your statement says...lol...Your statement: "and rotors do not "warp" when hot then return to next to no runout cold..."
My statement: "The warpage happens after they get hot and then dissipates a bit when cooled."
Where in my statement does it say what you insinuated? FAKE NEWS! Or am I mistaken about what you are implying?
