Yesterday, got my Bilstein 5100’s in the front, and replaced the upper control arm, and lower ball joint on the PS.

She rides sooo much better. These were the original shocks up front I believe. They were definitely shot. Much tighter, and she settles immediately after road bumps and humps. Even silly things like drinking from my water bottle while rolling are vastly improved. Not spilling all over myself anymore. Lol.

I agree that the old shocks look OE. Mine were exactly the same when I changed mine.

You do know that this kind of work raises one's blood pressure, right? LOL

Not at all! I sat on my ass and paid my buddy to do it. Lol.

ETA: For me, if I had a lift, I’d be all about doing this repair, but you won’t catch me trying to do this stuff down on the ground. No more of that.

Finally put the vinyl on the bowtie I've had since June. Got some new black plate frames - they're silicone. Not sure how much I like them.

Debadged the rear. Chevrolet emblem came off fairly easy, but that bowtie/tahoe was a *****. So much thick adhesive. I took some swirl mark remover to the spots but it'll need more work. Gotta get a dual action polisher, then I'll do a paint correction on the whole thing and detail it.

Oh yeah, was shampooing the rear and noticed how easy the trim of the captain's chairs came out and before I knew it, both were out completely. This is a work in progress. I guess I didn't realize how nasty it was. Going to take a while. Right now just soaking/brushing with Folex. I think it's either coffee or Coke from my kiddo years ago. Any other suggestions?
