Hmmm, I just planned on plugging my radar or using it to charge phones in. Do I need to worry now? Will it blow the battery up or something?
I actually have one of those chargers. For pure charging convenience I use a stubby plugin module that has a good 5v amperage rating, something like shown below. That way if it goes bad I can swap it out fast, or just remove it to use elsewhere. There are all sorts of these available, some with backlighting and others without.
For the stereo rear USB I ran that cable into the glovebox area and keep a (tunes) flash drive hidden in there.

The thing I don’t like about those is they stick out from the outlet so you can’t close the cover if you have one. I keep mine closed up most of the time since I have wireless CarPlay and my phone stays in my pocket unless it needs a charge which is rarely. You’ll eventually have to get that clutch fan off to run your efan. What did you have a problem with? To keep it from spinning, use A pair of big vice grips on the inside of the water pump pulley and clamp them down in a place where they can’t spin. Just go between the block and pulley, on the lip. Then as the pulley tries to rotate, the vice grips will stop it from spinning.I swear, everytime I try to do ANYTHING on the Hoe she fights me tooth and nail--and tooth again!
I tried to adjust the steering box today. I wanted to make it easy on me so I took off the upper radiator shroud, intake tube to the tb, bent the upper hose out of the way. I tried getting the clutch fan off--I even yt'd it--messed with that for about an hr--said f* it--then I cleaned up the top of the box, made my reference mark on the jam nut and the adj torx bolt, got a 3/16 torx and 5/8 ratcheting wrench. Everything was ready! I COULD NOT BUDGE IT!! I swear my eyeballs started to bleed I was using so much force! Another f* it job. So I started messing with the usb. I ran a wire to that little convenience center that the upfitters use--I wanted it to be keyed pwr. 1st spot I used wasn't putting out enough volts. It wouldn't even light the led in the usb. I sprayed a rust inhibitor on the rust spots. It's supposed to convert the rust to black, but I think it might've been too cold for it to work correctly.View attachment 267385 View attachment 267384 View attachment 267383
I guess we'll see if it works or not.
Jesus you just need a few more things plugged in there.
Yes just regular threads. The problem is the thing just spins unless you stop the pulley.Looks like Jersey Central Power and Light!
Clutch fan should be right-hand thread, so left-loosey (counter clockwise) to remove.
