It snapped it perfect and just 2 small bolts screw down on the 2 ends. Not like my Tahoe where I had to use screws to hold it up. It’s also more black than in the pic. Angle makes it look lighter.

What paint did you use? Both valances painted and installed

Try a rag soaked in thinner moving along the residue slowly.Removed the weathered pinstripes and dealer sticker with a 3M Stripe Eraser, which worked great. There is hard adhesive residue remaining and I'll see if the detailer can buff it out. No chemical I tried would touch it, although polishing compound worked somewhat by hand. Need to wash the big girl but the street is still snow-packed so she can wait.

When I took off my door molding on my 2007 Silverado, I found that 3M spray adhesive remover and the eraser wheel did the trick.I'll try that once the temps come up a bit. Dang cold out there with clouds and breeze, especially working with fluids that evaporate quickly. I tried acetone, denatured alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, WD40, gun bore cleaner, probably a few other things, etc., not in that order. Left the MEK on the shelf. I think it'll buff out, but not by my hand.

X2! Looks great! That lower valance fits the z71 valance good. Nice work.
Be sure to do a small test spot. I used that on our camper and it removed the old adhesive...and the paint. Totally different paint than on our trucks but would suck to fubar the paint. If nothing else, light wet sanding with high grit followed with polishing with a buffer will take care of it.Might have to swing by the auto parts store and pick some up. The remaining adhesive is pretty hardened, not soft at all.
Nice. Perfect fit.
Mcgard wheel install kit came in today. Just finished mounting them. Need a wash but I'm digging them!! Stock trailboss 18x8.5 with stock good years 275/65s. No suspension mods.

Merry Christmas brother!![]()
Today I just drove the old girl to the gym and back. Amazing how much I love both of my children almost equally in different ways but obviously two completely different breeds .
Merry Christmas and happy new year to all!
