This one? I'd say go check it out. Price is damn good for a 2500, especially if you prefer it in the LS flavor.

Texas truck should hopefully mean, NO RUST. Check for that. The miles are low and the price looks good but the eyeball needs to check it out. BUT and to me a big BUT is anything with AFM makes me gun shy. There are eliminator steps that you can take and plenty of threads here about that.

NO AFM on a 2500.

The 2008 is a lower towing capacity - 8600lbs

If it runs good go for it. That engine will run 300k

And yes, no AFM crap to deal with.

Even though I'm now in the market for a K2xx SUV for the wife, I was kind of thinking about going to check that one out, too. Just something for myself to play with... :D

Looks like somebody might've snatched it already since the ad just disappeared.

Not a big surprise there and the ad I saw on Craigslist had $6300 as the price.

Not so fast fellas! It might not be a 2500. The L76 was available in the 1500s from 2007-2009, it had AFM, VVT, an aluminum block and made about 367 HP. LOTs of Avalanches from these three years have the motor and they were put in front of the 4L70 Supermatic until 2009 when the 6-speed came out. It's not unusual to find a Suburban with them either, with their higher horsepower rating, guys used to hyper-mile them into the 25 mpg range by tweaking AFM parameters.
