We always want pics. In fact, we require them! Otherwise we tell you it never happened! [emoji1787][emoji23][emoji106]I never think to take pictures when I'm doing things like this. I'll try to remember to pop it out and take a picture tomorrow.

Just had a local plastics shop cut me a piece to a template I made . Held with 3M double sided tapeNice move, Dave! That looks great! What's the trim piece?
Damn! Weird you didn’t know until this am. At least that’s a cheap /easy fix. [emoji16][emoji106]Started my truck this morning and had a misfire on #7. Drove totally fine across town last night with no hint of a misfire but #7 plug wire was toast. View attachment 256979

I’ve been very pleased with the Accel 9070C short ceramic wires. They’re just short enough to avoid touching the headers. No heat sleeves needed. I’ve seen many of those fail to protect the wires anyway.Very odd it suddenly happened this morning I drove all over yesterday and never had a misfire, engine light, or code. Luckily I have a handful of spares laying around, I just need to get some better heat sleeves.

Sure, not the best, but here you go:Do you have a pic of them installed? Although they are double or triple regular wires I'd consider trying them I have killed a few already.

Yes, on the plug end, since they’re ceramic on that side. On the coil side, standard..Oh yeah plenty of length still. I might have to put these in my Summit shopping cart for my next order.
are the boots more rigid and easier to push on?

I agree the way to keep the wires from burning on headers is to use the shortest possible to reach from plug to coil with just a tad bit of slack. That way the wires stay more centered between the header pipes so they don’t burn, and then you don’t need the heat sleeves which never worked for me anyway. My wires were always too long so they would flop over onto the header and the sleeve would just hide the burnt wire until suddenly misfires like crazy. I bought a custom set on EBay but I’ve heard the Accel ones like Sam mentioned fit perfect too.I’ve been very pleased with the Accel 9070C short ceramic wires. I know, I know.. the heads are just filthy! I’m hoping to replace them sometime in the near future... [emoji16] obviously I need to clean them first though. [emoji106]Perfect I'm excited now.
May I suggest a can of degreaser and a pressure washer for all that grundle butter on your engine![]()
I want to know if the valance fits as wellWill a standard Z71 lower valance fit my front bumper without modifications? I’d really like to put round fogs in.. (2003 Yukon SLT)
Also, can anyone give me a part number, or link for the replacement plugs / trim pieces that hold the fan shroud in? I lost one the other day while cleaning up under there.. [emoji35]![]()
