I appreciate it but I stoped looking. If I get a tow rig it will be a Duramax diesel truck.

Yeah, I get your frustration. It took me 3 months to find mine, and that was 7 YEARS AGO, and production was just winding down.

My baby has 200k miles. She still runs great and has been frighteningly problem-free, but the thought of what I'll have to go through to replace her is daunting. I know it will be an ordeal lasting months.

Hmmmm, been researching these later HD wheels and from what I've read, the lug pattern changed in between 2010 and 2011 with the later lug pattern being 8 on 180mm(7.09"?). All of the 8 lug 2500 SUV's would be the age old 8 on 6.5. Anyone know how these newer wheels were adapted to an earlier 8 lug truck?

Secondly, I like the look of the 01-02 HD hood on this and other 1/2t truck/suv's. Can just the hood be swapped and it will work with the 1/2t grille, fenders, etc or is it necessary to change everything along with the HD "bump" hood?
Thanks in advance.

Wheels can be adapted but will need spacer/adapters, minimum of 1.5" and that generally requires trimming your studs, 2" will clear (check legality in your state). Or you can buy them in the correct bolt pattern from OE Wheels.

I have been told some Dodge trucks also have the 8x 165.1 pattern. But I haven't found any in my price range (i.e. cheap). YMMV.

Looks like I may have gotten one. Just waiting on transferring the monies. Probably stole it out from a couple of you trying to get it because I was told that others were trying to put a deposit down on it when I was on the phone doing that. :D

Congratulations! Which one?

There was one at Murdock Chevy in Utah. 2500, LT, 8.1, 4.10 gears. What sold it, under 100k on the clock.

it had hit the website without pics Saturday, so Saturday evening, I texted them and they sent me pics.

It is a little rough in areas, but that mileage was the deal sealer.
