I was just with a guy tonight that just bought a 15” sundown (don’t know exactly which size) for his XJ and the thing weights 120 lbs. it’s insane!

probably a team ferrite if it weighs that much lol. Had one of those in the garage here before. Too ******* heavy

Where did you mount the battery?

I have a lithium battery in the back that runs everything.

Took last Friday off of work since I already had 42 hours in and really didn’t want to spend the whole weekend working on getting that amp in. after a quick nap Thursday I got to the shop around 930 and got started. I’m weird and like working on shit at night haha.

Started off pulling The two 5ks out, then pulled a sub to re wire.
Had to add another set of 5/16’s bolts/t nuts for speaker terminals. So now it will be 1 5k amp per pair of subs wired to .5 ohm instead of 1 5k per 3 subs at .33 ohm. Even though I am adding a 3rd amp doesn’t mean I’m gonna see another 5000 watts. I expect maybe a .5db gain with this setup since I’m wiring up slightly. Main benefit is gonna be longer playtime without the amps getting hot as quick(less strain on them) and just all Around more efficient. Plus wired that low on the 2 amps they didn’t like it when I would roll into bass quickly on the knob.

Went with Jim’s machineworx amp rack this time. Laser cut and powder coated steel brackets to stack the amps. Still used the same wood mount I had before just had to make a new top piece that was 1 1/2” wider for the amps to bolt to on the sides.

Installed and wiring to fuse blocks done!

Idk if it’s me working slow, my ocd, or a combination of both but it was daylight at this point so I called it for now.

Basically a flat bar or something to hold them all level to each other once tied together. But I’m happy with it. So far no amps protecting on fast rolls into bass and can beat on everything longer without equipment warming up so it’s already a win

You have no room to put the bags of mulch when you go to Home Depot.

I have landscapers at my place anyways so I don’t have to get bags of mulch lol. Groceries still fit behind the enclosure as well. If needed I can shove shit in the ports hahah

sorry didn’t see this comment before. They are rear captains out of a 07 tahoe. Bolt right up. I put charcoal cloth seat
Covers over them to match the fronts. They are black leather.

Last weekend got the back brakes swapped out, pads, rotors, and parking brake shoes. Idk why I didn’t take pics though. Besides how low my front end looked haha. Then after messing with @05Single a little bit telling him I bagged it I sent the 2nd pic that it was just jacked up.

work has been super busy lately. Haven’t had time to do much. Single stage airbag should be here in the next couple days for my 03+ steering wheel. Still need a 03+ column though. Got a round over made for the sub enclosure trying to squeeze every little bit out of it before surf city. Trying to get it to do a 156+ on the meter.

I did my loudest on the meter at 155.8db

30 second door open average on music 154.5db

2nd in IDBL

1st in bass boxing(2020 world record at 152.2 average)

1st in bass race

3rd in db drag

And 2nd in psyclone

Demod it harder than ever before, got the subs/amps hotter than it ever has been, and still managed the top 3 in all classes I competed in. Besides getting a really bad sunburn it was an awesome time.
