Actually the leak is from the windshield, so I guess I'm getting a new windshield. Tim suggested we have my spare headliner redone, so that is going to happen. Pulling all the trim to get it ready for painting. Broke a A pillar, but the good thing is I have an attic with spares. Hopefully we will be able to get the seatbelts out so we can replace the carpet. Scared to see what else is lurking under there. Beginning to wonder if a frame off resto would have been more cost effective.

But I got this and that that's exciting. Carpet that isn't stained or covered in stuck on mud will be a novelty.

New windshield going in as we speak. Thankfully it was leaking because of a previous crappy install. There was much silicone and all kinds of crap in there. The first shop I called tried to mansplain to me about how it was probably my cowl and did I know that fresh air comes through there? Told the person who recommended him that the shop definitely wasn't getting my business. Called second shop, they are here now. $50 cheaper, guy kinda chuckled when I said it was a 95 but the tech let me check the front sill and where it sits at the bottom. No rust just crappy reinstall by the fruitcakes that owned Betty before me. The tech was like this is sooo wrong, all of this previous install. So thankfully no need to break open the ac, the dash can go back in, I need to start helping scrub trim parts for paint and the carpet can go down. I won't get to drive her for my birthday but maybe to my follow-up doctors appt on the 23rd.

Scored two of these today at the LKQ yard. And the cd holder for my console, can never find cupholders. My cupholder has the tabs broken. Time to see if enough PB blaster has been applied to my lower seat belt fasteners and they will come out so the carpet can go down. Decided to redo my headliner, thankfully I have a spare board. I'm like a hoarder with this thing. I totally get American Pickers now.

What most of the interior trim parts of a 2 door Hoe looks like. Missing my console, seat belt holder rear upper and front lower and the dash, but that is already back in.

Well this is what it looks like getting ready for the stereo install, headliner redo, and carpet install. Slowly painting it, part by part. Next up is the A& B pillars, the long rear interior panels, the seat belt fasteners and surrounds, console and the barn door window surround. Oh and the spare tire cover holder. Slowly but surely getting there.
