My truck has been sitting for a few years and I've since lost the key. There is no battery in the truck. It's a lawn ornament at this point but I need the room and need it gone. The kids took the key and lost it. I only had the one. Is there an easy way to shift into Neutral so I can have it junked? I'd like it gone ASAP. I did a search here and the only thing relevant was a linkage in the transmission? There's snow in my yard and it will be there for a while, so getting under it won't be an easy task, at least not for a bit. I hope there's another way. Help?

Any towing company can yank that right out of there with a flatbed.

If it's as simple as that and won't be a problem for them, then great. I'm not worried about ruining anything on the truck since I'm going to junk or donate it anyway. I just didn't think that was a thing that they would do. Great news, then. Saves me a bunch of time. Thanks!

A flatbed can back up to it and drag it. If he gets the back of the bed down right in front of the front tires or rear tires they will not drag in the yard but the other end will unless they drag from rear and the front tires still roll. If enough snow that flatbed may have to be far enough away that the tires drag in the yard but the snow should help with the slide. Or you get under it and remove driveshafts and it will roll no matter what.

Sure picked the wrong time of year to get it out of the yard.

Tow truck guys love to show, off shouldn't be an issue there.

Can you disconnect the shift cable underneath and shift it to neutral?
