I agree, I see more older Silverados on the road than F150"s. I've owned multiple GM trucks and not one has left me strand it in over 25 years.
everywhere I go I see a ton of gm's and misc other makes but not all that many fords, kinda weird considering they sell more, I know they number practically 10:1 at the local junk yard that say's a lot to me. maybe it's a regional thing I don't know.

Cause they’re a “low cost” brand. You probably live in a nicer neighborhood, lol.

Really? F150 and Silverado have an identical base price...

Have to disagree. I see way more 00-09 F150's than I do any year of the Silverado. I'm not biased towards either of them, but around here it's more Ford's than Chevy's. However, there's WAY more Tahoe/Yukon than Ford Expeditions around here.

My brother works for FOMOCO at an assembly plant in KC, Mo. He told me that Ford can brag about selling more pickup trucks than Chevy or Dodge because they do have the biggest grasp of the commercial truck market. By the way, he owns a Silverado DMAX.

Same was chevy/gmc own the fleet vehicle market with their SUV’s.

EVERY black car service I’ve ever used has been a some variant of a full size GM suv

C’mon man, everyone knows Ford is so pedestrian compared to GM.

I think he meant C'mon man! instead of common man.

The pedestrian part means more plain Jane and less options and less forward thinking, I believe.

No idea about options etc. they seem pretty forward thinking but I don’t pay a ton of attention to the pickup market.

I will say the f series interior looks like a transformer.

Exactly. Corrected the autocorrect. But he knows what I meant, literally.

I understood your words but I had no idea that ford trucks were considered plane Jane etc.

You know it’s interesting, I didn’t either until I started shopping for Yukon/Suburbans and was asking people who owned these and Expeditions. In general, the average person looked down on Ford and held GM in higher regard. Even Ford owners seem to have a chip on their shoulder; they all complain about resale of their Fords/Expeditions...”if only it had a GM name on it, it would be worth $10k more...” must have heard this a dozen times.

Why would anyone buy a vehicle that they think is inferior yet has the same price point of the one they actually prefer? People are bizarre.
