Escalade components sanded, prep work continues. All parts should be ready for install on my next trip back to Fl.

I asked the painter to hold off on the paint work since I just sent him a few other parts for my other truck that need to get painted. Might as well paint everything in one shot.

Making progress.

Matched my Hikari low beams with their high beam LEDs. PITA to get to the high beam dust caps, but all in all not a long project.

do the Hikari low beams allow you to use your factory dust caps? If so, can you post the part numbers/ or link for the low beams? I’m assuming I need a conversion kit?

Left my hippo at shop to change halogen lenses to Koito bi-led lenses.
I don't personally trust aftermarket led lamps in halogen sockets, so full retrofit is a proper way to go.
Should dramatically improve my lows and add second highs.
Also will swap hb3 to hir1 lamps in highs and install 1500lm led backlights

Nice. I did HIR bulbs in my high beams as well. I’ve been gathering parts to do a bi-xenon retrofit with a clear STi lens.

The halogen projector lenses aren’t clear.

The factory HID projectors have fresnel lenses.

Lows: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GKPR452/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Highs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GKC818Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Fit perfectly under the dust caps. has about a 4" pigtail to tuck into the housing. Plug and play! Pay attention to the " +/- " stamped on the connector, it can go either way. + is the white wire on the wiring harness. Also, the actual "unit" is adjustable, so make sure that the 3 prongs click into place as designed and the LEDs are in positioned correctly. wiring off the fan should be at 6 o'clock.

There may be more expensive or brighter bulbs out there but the lows are plenty bright and honestly anything is better than the halogens. The fans are not noisy, can barely hear them with the truck off.

Ill second on noisy hakari fans - got those same ones in lows and fogs too so its a hum fest, but light is easily worth it. I will say I plan on keeping the brights stock. My setup has all 6 on with high beams, and the slight yellowish of brights fills the spectrum on wet black roads making it easier to see. Unlike the stock lows, the highs are pretty decent, YMMV...

Thank you guys. I’ve got a pretty mean light bar I installed behind the grille, so not worried about my high beams, but the factory halogen low beams are useless. Ordered the Hikari.

Night time pics? Thinking about buying some DD LEDs

It’s hard to tell in this pic, but I took it after replacing the driver, while leaving the passenger OEM halogen. Amazing difference. Just drove home from a client meeting in the pouring rain tonight

Color matching for the Escalade components completed and ready today. We had switched priority as I needed other parts first. Problem sovled by completion of all parts needed for the Escalade and the Duramax. Escalade parts will not go on until I am back in Florida next month or the following. Thus, the install is pending.
