Passenger Door and Dome Lighting

Hello everyone,

I am having an issue with my dome lights. They turn on when I open every other door except the front passenger one

Does anyone know what it could be or provide some input to figure it out?

i think you could do a basic test of the door lock sensor by having a helper and then be driving about 15mph and have them open the passenger door (while driving), if you do not get a door ajar warning then it's probably a bad door lock but it could still be bad even if the lights do not come on and the warning does.

Rockauto has them. You didn’t mention year make or model but this should be close.

Search under your year, make model and then go to Body/Door Latch Assembly.

Should be close then as I picked a 2009 Tahoe when I did my quick search. Pay attention to position (front/rear, left(driver)/right(passenger) and options when selecting.
