What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Gotta get a couple of plugs and harnesses for this connector. Can anyone identify it? H11?

Got under it to brainstorm on how to mount some new driving lights. I think it'd be easier with the bumper cover off, so I'll plan to do the driving lights and LED headlights at the same time. They're driving lights from a 2017 Muffstain GT, taken off when brand new. They're LED and look similar to Morimotos, but I doubt they have anything like the output. I just wanted black LED projector driving lights to forward my un-blinging process. They have four mounting ears in a symmetrical pattern and all on a single plane, so making mounting brackets should be fairly easy. The stock ones are 4" wide, these are 3 5/8". The 3/16" gap won't be noticeable.

Came with the Ford factory mounting brackets and screws. I doubt I'll have any use for the brackets:

The width difference is only 3/8", but it looks like more when comparing side by side:

I think they go better with the factory headlights and will fit in quite nicely.

You might be able to cut the back off of the stock fog housings and then epoxy it to the back of the new ones

I'll have to look at this as it would make it super easy and I wouldn't have to trim or even remove the bumper. Then I could revert back to stock if I ever needed to. Although I have an epoxy I really think I can trust, I keep picturing it not bonding and separating and the light falling out. Probably just being paranoid. Thanks for the idea!

Did this a while back but never posted.

Had a few minutes to play so I made up a grille insert from some aluminum expanded metal. I used the factory insert to make a template then traced and cut it out of a 2x6:

Clamped it under another board to make a straight bend, a-la-sheet metal brake:



Centering marks for reference to ensure it stays as I'm beating it into shape:

The "tabs" are roughed-in for mock-up and will be trimmed as needed:

Popped it in for a visual. It and the chrome trim will be painted satin/low-gloss black, whatever I get for the wheels:

Yeah, I have some stuff that I repaired mounting tabs on two different headlights and it's still holding fine. Surely these little lights won't induce any more stress than that.

Oddly enough I've been thinking about finding some chrome grill inserts in a parts yard for mine. I've never liked chrome, but I've always thought the full shiny grills on the tahoes looked better than the black ones I've got.

I've considered trading someone my inserts for their factory black ones. I may end up painting my chrome ones when I paint the surround. Depends on how the expanded metal stuff works out.

I need to go to the parts yard and look for some stuff. Black inserts, hopefully find some weathertec floor mats, maybe different dash/door card trim, non chrome door handles would be nice too. Would also like to find black A piller trim.

Is your 07 an LTZ? I was thinking that LTZ trim Burbs and Tahoes had the chrome grill starting in 07. LS and LT trim burbs/hoes had the black grill like you got. My Burb is an LT3 but I added the LTZ grill cuz OEM plus mods r lyfe
