Where could this screw have come from?

Driving home from work today I heard something hit the husky floor mat somewhere in the second row. Almost sounded like something dropped from the ceiling.

After getting home I opend the passenger side rear door and found a black screw laying between the bucket seat and the door.

Looked around on the ceiling and can't find any screws like this. Also looked on the door panel and didn't see any places where it could go. Could have come from the plastics that surround the bottom and sides of the seat, but it sounded like it dropped from a farther distance.

I flipped the seat forward and still can't find where it goes

it's just a trim screw, unless something is rattling I wouldn't worry to much about it

I'd just like to know where it dropped from.

All the seat plastics have torx head screws.

No screws like this in headliner or even the trim going up to the headliner. Grabhandles and seat belts all look fine

Found it. It dropped out from the opening the 2nd row seat belt comes out of. I popped the cover piece off and there was no screw behind it securing that panel to the "C" pillar.

I know, could you imagine if someone else was with me in the car like my daughter sitting there when it dropped out. She'd be like, hey this screw just came out of nowhere and hit me.... Lol

Wonder how it fell through the cover, without the cover falling off too. Too late @iamdub

There's about a 1-2" deep plastic standoff behind that cover hole that's open towards the rear. If the screw loosens up it will drop down and apparently fall out the seat belt opening

I looked for about 20 seconds then gave up cuz I had to mow the pasture.

@iamdub probably got side tracked by spongebob reruns or something.

I wish! Spongebob would be on TV, inside in the A/C...

How convenient! GM engineered a duct to divert the screws to the floorboard when they start falling out.

I think I just got lucky that it fell out the seat belt opening and didn't go all the way down through the lower trim.
