Damn this thread has been popping! Notifications quit showing up again. Tahoe is still broken, but tomorrow my Texas Speed AFM delete kit is arriving. Went with the stage two low lift camshaft. I bought Melling pushrods today because for some reason the kit doesn't come with them.

I won't end up using them if everything goes right, but I'll have a complete valvetrain to drop in the new engine once I'm ready. My HPTuners cable showed up yesterday. There is so much involved in tuning- I see why people just buy tuners off the shelf now.

I would be doing the work myself if I had more time. My girlfriend and I are still cleaning up and moving into the new house, and I have to be down in SoCal on a hard set date. And for tuning, I've so far figured out turn off the codes for the cats- so there's that at least. Won't have that CEL anymore, and they're being cut out at the same time as the engine is being replaced.

So on Wed/Thurs/Fri- the engine is being replaced, the drivers side motor mount, the heater core hoses, and the cats are being cut out.

Installed new sway bar bushings and end links today.

The suspension still squeaks...
Mine does too. I have all new front suspension. I liked those poly bushings for my s10 but I think they wore out fairly quick. You need to lube poly when its on a rotational joint I think. I always just used wheel bearing grease.

I’ve bought synthetic poly grease and never had a squeak. Lube the sway bar hold downs inside and small amount on end links and perfect. Also for poly suspension bushings this is key to no squeak.

Most of us have someone like BlackBear do a custom tune for us since canned tunes pretty much suck. I have an Autocal so any time I need a change I email them a datalog or instructions and they email my tune back to me. Lifetime tuning service FTW.
