I just pull the bumper cover.... takes minutes.
Ive read guys leaving the outside bolt in the fender off with no ill effects then they simply remove the top bolts on the bumper cover and with a little persuasion remove the headlight.
I like to remove the cover completely so nothing gets scratched or risk ripping the cover at the stupid grill attached corner.
I can have both headlights out in less than 5 minutes :D

Deleted the door guards and washed it this weekend.

i wanted to delete my door guards but I went on a road trip and had stopped at a new gas station. Opened my door and slammed it into one of those concrete bollards that was just short enough to hide below what i could see out of the window. Wouldve caved in my door skin without the door guards. Decided they can stay because of that. Still have the paint on the guards from that skuff the bollard left behind

I had a feeling you'd reply with something along those lines! Did you calculate it or cheat by reading my sig? :D

She felt completely stable and smooth.

I figured she had 3.73s but looked at my homemade excel calculator to compare and confirm. Mine has the dumb suspension and also hunkers down and feels more stable the faster you go.

Does yours have an aluminum or steel driveshaft? The steel one has a critical speed of 5000 rpms (same as front DS on 4x4) that limits top speed to about 134. The PPVs must use something different as their driveshafts are turning about 5,400 rpms at 139 mph with either transmission.

My max safe speed would be around 122 or so; the propellers' critical speed is 4556 rpms.

hmm, I guess I need a better drive shaft, I'm pretty sure mine is the steel one since it has surface rust

Where did you put the antenna?

NMO antenna on the roof.

I deleted the retaining clips on the rear of the console and put studs mounted into the metal cross-member in the ceiling that go through holes drilled into the far corners of the plastic.

I wanted to make sure the added weight of the radio didnt cause the console to fall down when I curb hop..:)

is it illegal to transmit while driving in Alaska?

No, I dont think so...I just dont wanna chance taking my eyes off the road.

..But everything else in Alaska is illegal though lol.
..you can be 1000 miles into the wilderness, walk across a stream and be facing a wildlife officer giving you a $500 ticket for stepping in a "salmon spawning area".
Getting ridiculous up here.
