Ok, so seems like it shouldn’t be needing a head gasket already. Unless I’m not understanding the timeline.
My guess is he didn’t torque the heads correctly. I went ahead and ordered arp head bolts

Picked up a ViAir 300P portable compressor to haul along, which should be useful when 4-wheeling:

Then installed the Hopkins 7-Blade/4-Flat trailer connector. #40920, PnP. Before:

After:

Now I need to pull the hitch and paint it. It never ends, does it? :D

That's for sure, although I sold my camper since it wasn't worth storing to use once or twice a year. Now I rent and the upkeep is someone else's, but I do contribute to that! Got my garage back, though.

It is possible one of the heads is cracked or isn’t seating fully on the head gasket
It’s possible. The heads were shaved to up compression. I’m gonna have them checked out when I get to tear it down

so i finally finished the rewire for the 03-07 mirrors for my 01 tahoe. still have to wire in the turn signals and still waiting on the switch for the power fold. when putting on the new mirrors i noticed the mirror tilt motors only turn in left, they do not tilt up/down or right. i doubled checked the wiring with the post from gmfs, but both mirrors do the same thing. not sure if both motors are bad but how could they both have the same issue.

Maybe carefully pop the glass off and check those plastic gears. I have 2 mirrors--driver's side--that have the same gears broken.

Cleaned up my ground connections on the driver side frame.View attachment 222998 View attachment 222996
Also added a ground wire.View attachment 222995 View attachment 222997
Hoping this helps.

I think I need to do this to my friend's '04. Replaced her driver's side window regulator yesterday and she informed me her driver's seat wasn't working. I checked the switches and... well... they're working... but the seat bottom switch is completely backwards. Up is down, down is up, forward is backward and backward is forward. The seat heaters don't work at all.

So I told her that her seat works, but for whatever reason someone put the switch in backwards or plugged the motors in backwards. She said, "No, that's the thing.... no one ever touched them. This stupid thing just went haywire all of a sudden. The electronics in it are all messed up."

Didn't occur to me while I was there to check the grounds, but that's exactly what I should've done.

When that reverse action of the seat motors happens, supposedly that's the bcm acting up. I've read to correct it, the bcm needs to be reflashed. Don't know if that's true, but I've run into ALOT of the reversed seat motors deal. ALOT!
