I have a 2011 Yukon Denali Hybrid 2WD. I've had a check engine light on for a couple of days, this started during a road trip, after a couple of brief warning in the dash about "low engine oil pressure". Oil level is fine and the oil pressure gauge seem to be working properly. So I got it scanned at an auto part store and it's a P0521 code, for an engine oil pressure sensor. I found the part on RockAuto, but have been unable to find much guidance to be able to do it myself. is this part easy to DIY? and are you guys aware of any videos or instructions that show how to replace the sensor?

Thank you.
Mike

it is on the rear top center of the engine and the access space is pinched by the firewall, you can do it by "feel", some say it is a major pain others have very little trouble, I have not done it myself but with the right adapters it is entirely do-able as many have done it. Others yet I believe remove the intake to get to it but I don't think "have to" do it that way.

I believe there is an oil pressure sensor socket designed for this type of repair. I would suggest getting that correct socket vs a standard socket. You can do it with manifold on, get a few flexible socket joints and it takes less than 30 minutes. Replace the screen and the new sensor.

i doubt its much different on my 04. but you need a long extension, a swivel and the correct socket.
I did it by feel and took all of 10 minutes

I did mine, on a 08'. Get the sensor socket, a swivel and a extension. Its possible to do without removing the intake. There's not alot of room, your hands will be jammed in there but its possible. Also replace the screen underneath the sensor while your there.
