The OEM bolts are longer than 5/8. I bought 5/8 as that is what the spec is but the OEM ones are like 1” but have threads to about 3/4. I need to dig them out of the trash and measure accordingly or you can pull one out and measure. Note that the OEM ones have the long unthreaded part at the end like the body bolts; pilot end? I can’t think of the name of that feature.

ARP sells a stainless steel set for our 10 bolt rear ends that I got on EBay for about $30 shipped.

Well been awhile. Don’t really mess with the Tahoe much since I got my truck. But today was the day to give the Tahoe a lil love

Stared under the hood

Also sucked the old brake fluid out. Going to let the wife drive this week then I’ll swap it completely out. Also cleaned the outside

Well tis done. I swapped out the bw v300 for a factory 18 muffler. Kinda weird though, its still got that nice grumble like the bw but its ALOT quieter inside and just a bit quieter outside.
should have went with a 08-13 HY 6.0 muffler

it has two Extra LARGE muffler setup for maximum quietness but you have to delete your spare tire though

I did the rear end finally. I had to use a 12mm socket on the rusted 13mm bolts tapped on with a hammer to get them off. I also used a propane torch to help loosen them up. The new Amsoil containers are awesome! Installed new stainless bolts.
