Got curious to see how much oil was in the catch can. I think this is a lot for maybe 1000 miles? Maybe 1500

Hard to see in the black can. How much is it? Here's my last few at 6,5,4,&3k intervals.

About as much as your last picture. Assuming that's a standard plastic cup and not a 711 big gulp lol

It's a pretty little cup. Here it is next to a pint. Also, I am now cutting my intervals back down. Not because of this oil, necessarily, but my wear numbers broke trend on my last analysis, so I'm hoping they go back with a shorter internal.

Your NP8 tranfer case code means it's a NVG246. Takes AC Delco Auto-Trak II fluid, which is blue. Should be right around 2 quarts; mine took a little less but YMMV.

Actually 2.4 quarts according to alldatadiy. I just ordered some for my Denali since it’s out while I have my trans fixed.
Edit: never mind. Mines the NVG 149. My Tahoe has the 246 and you’re correct, 2.0 quarts.

I had 3 quarts on hand when I did mine (NVG246) a couple of weeks ago -- you never know and I want to be pumping that stuff in only once. My son brought his little drill pump and it worked pretty slick -- beats the heck out of a hand pump for time and effort.

According to Haynes, '99-'01 apparently takes 2.4 quarts in these TCs, too, but 2002 forward takes 2.0.

I got my new 20's mounted up today. I can't stop staring at it! It's a good feeling to see it all come together. I would consider my Tahoe almost done after this!

I had two shops deny putting them on since they're bigger wheels. What a joke.

Looks good!!! An Escalade rack would look good on there.
Had a couple shops deny mounting my Nissan wheels, because I own a Chevy. I tried to explain how bolt patterns work but they just looked at me crazy

I agree with you on the Escalade rack, trying to find one the same color on car-part within reasonable distance is tough. I wasn't going to put one on, but I think the chrome piece would compliment the wheels very well now.
Very nice.
Thanks Rocket Man! Big compliment from someone with trucks as nice as yours!
