Is there anyone that rebuilds or modifies instrument clusters for our years of Yukons? There use to be a place in Sioux City IA. that did this but I can not find them on the internet. Suggestions??

Ever get it fixed? I have a spare I used for troubleshooting/core but didn’t need it.

Not as of yet. Was thinking about getting a spare to send off and get fixed while this one is still in truck.

I have my spare on eBay now. It’s a good core return but needs bulbs and at least 1 motor

Just curious, what’s wrong with yours? I’ve messed with mine enough now we could probably get your sorted for dirt cheap. These are really simple and no solder or VIN locks to deal with.

Tools required: 7mm ratchet with extension, plastic fork.

Here’s a good video on replacing the gauge motors. I’ve seen them on eBay, it looks pretty straightforward and he goes over how to get them lined back up correctly.

I dunno about other people’s rides but it cracked me up how detailed he was with fuel gauge. Mine is pretty darn vague. Way past F with a full tank and probably closer to 2/3 when showing a 1/2 tank.

what about the lights on the shift section?

if i put my truck into 3rd, the 1st light illuminates and flickers.. i have no lights for drive or park or neutral.. is this something that is just cluster related or are there other parts in the shift column i need to address?

I’d think that would be the lights in the cluster.
