Replaced a rear window switch from switchdoctor on ebay. These are made in same factory in Mexico as ACDelco for 1/3 the price. Paid $8 delivered.
How can you tell it was made in the same factory as AC DELCO?

Installed a new black mesh grill and a newer 2015 Escalade style emblem on the 07. Covered the chrome hood trim piece with gloss black vinyl and it came out terrible. I'll re-do it when i get some time. I'm gonna black out the headlights and tint the fog lights as soon as it warms up here in Austin and maybe black out the chrome on the new emblem.

Front end looks much better. Nice change up.

Ummm..... He's @swathdiver. Duh.

The vendor makes the claim and the part is identical down to the molded in markings and the one sticker on it. Looks identical to an ACDelco switch replaced last year on the other door. Curiously, Audi uses this company too as a few months ago these folks accidentally sent me the switches for an Audi of some type and the switches look a lot like ours but the connectors were wrong. As a testament to their customer service and efficiency, they refunded immediately and said to keep the item which we gave to a kid with an Audi.

My daughter installed it for me again. She scowls but enjoys the work. She did the window motors on the minivans with my help the first time, the second on her own and did 90% of the interior door panel handles on her own and of course these switches as they come up. Heading off to college this summer, now I have to train up the youngest!

That one looks like it's been painted. I wouldn't want to try to wrap it with all those holes! And what's zip-tied to the back of the grille on the passenger side?
I didn't even notice that. Pretty sure it was painted. I just snapped a few quick pics. Came in as I was leaving. Tires on it were bald, stock GM rims were thrown in the back.

File this one under cheap and effective. Especially for the "I hate little noises" crowd. Soft side of Velcro to keep the keys and fob from beating against the steering column housing. Very annoying sound to me (though not anymore):

I can't recall what vehicle it was I saw it on, but I've seen one from the factory that had something just like that but a soft vinyl/leather pad for the same reason/purpose.

So, an engine ‘greaser’ ?

Pretty much. It's supposedly a combo degreaser and shine. Didn't really accomplish the degreasing part, and whatever is in it to produce the "shine" basically just leaves a film on all the surfaces that is a dirt/dust magnet.

I'll just do a hand detail of the engine when it's time for my next oil change in a few weeks.

Installed my el cheapo Amazon catch can today. The line that comes with it was garbage so I picked up some 3/8” fuel line from the parts store. The hydro boost doesn’t allow much room to mount it like a vacuum booster, so I had to rig something up with what I had in the garage.

Not a great pic, my led work light battery died.
