Toneh what's going on with the big beast?
Nuttin". Still running, although--when it rains alot, it floods around here, so I did drive through some big ass puddles to wash the salt off underneath. Does that count as a lazy man's detail? One puddle was so deep it splashed over the top of the hood!

Not really, just a dusting 2 times, and it melts quick. We've been super lucky--so far. Dodged a big storm last week. How about you? Snow yet?
Hell no. Coldest it's been here is 29 and all I've dealt with is rain. Also do you have any idea why my ABS and E-Brake lights would come on randomly? Nothing bad is happening it's just a peace of mind thing and I'm always more nervous when they come on

Maybe a hub is going bad? Just curious--how's your rear brake lines? I think you said they were changed. I've also heard the abs units tend to go bad, but I don't know if that would also set your e brake light.
BTW--It was 5 degrees the other night, and 53 degrees last night!

Looks like Alabama isn't the only one with bipolar ass weather! And no the lines themselves weren't changed, I changed rotors and pads all the way around and it doesn't ride odd so a hub couldn't be going bad could it?

When mine was going bad I heard some crunching/grinding and felt a small vibration in the steering wheel--but I'm not a mechanic so it was just a guess. Do you have a scanner that can read abs codes?

Yes and I've already gotten the code once I just don't remember what it was

Just thought I would post this here.

I found an app that works with the Bluetooth OBD2 scanners that can check and clear codes in the...

ECM = engine control module
TCM = transmission control module
ABS = antilock brake system
SRS = supplemental restraint system = air bags

Pretty cool IMO and it's free.

I seen it the other day and read where it would read and clear all those codes and I thought to myself "yeah right" but for free I figured I would give it a whirl.

I downloaded it and tried it and it pulled up a code on my ABS from when I had pulled a fuse for testing purposes and I thought "well that's cool but I bet it won't let me clear it" so I tried it and it did indeed clear the ABS code.

So I am quite pleased to have found this app and figured I would share. The best part is it's free... lol

Here's a link to the app on the Google play store...

It's called ChevroSys Free.

I am using the Vgate iCar2...

I purchased it here...
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/323509447677

It has an AUTO OFF feature (after 30 mins) so you don't have to ever unplug it.

I had purchased the Oummit scanner but it started turning off randomly for no apparent reason and wouldn't turn back on until you cycle the ignition so I sent it back.

i grabbed this app, i already have a elm321 blue tooth, my abs light is not on, but it did pull up stored codes from the last owner in history, and cleared those codes.

damn good app, thanks for sharing it.

No problem... I was pretty impressed too... to be honest I wasn't expecting much with it being free... lol
