You’d be in the same situation. You’d have to swap both the hybrid lights as well as the upper appliqués and I think the third brake light too

it's 5 pin like the reg tahoe
unlike the caddy which is 6 pin no chopping wires it's 2008-2013 it's the same style but with LEDs

looks like the hybrids have a different shape than the standard tahoes and require the upper appliques to fit right. if not they are still just as ugly as the oem ones. id rather buy some aftermarket led lights over the hybrid ones.

I don't like the Cadillac ones are they strobe badly , the LED driver in them suck or the LED them self suck..

what good does having very bright break lights if they blind the driver behind you?

as it uses the OLD 1980s conventional LEDs
I have seen a few escalade pass me by I get blinded by them. because they strobe..

even the cheap aftermarkets ones have those ones at 25% brightness

the tahoe tail lights use
Chip-on-board array and a decent LED driver The person who designed the LED array/LED driver in the reflector did a good job.

what does the applique have to do with the tail lights

you referring to part#1 on the image correct?

No sir I was talking about the piece above the tail. It’s got a hard body line that starts in the light and runs upward into it. Makes sense about the leds and all. I like the smoother clean look of the Escalades and think the oems looks lumpy.

try to correct me all you want and push your negativity but gm calls them appliqués. If you don’t like the escalade lights then don’t buy them. It must not be too big of a problem being too bright since it’s a factory part.

the issue is with the LED driver used it's cheaply made that is why Cadillacs have such a high failure rate for the LEDs
plus since it has a LARGE LED array will mean failure of LED rows (as seen on many Cadillacs)..

I'm confused as why two resistors are needed per lamp? Why does the brake lamp need one also? It should be just the turn signal that needs the resistor?

Post # 58 has something about needing only one resistor to keep it oem.

Something has, apparently, changed in the 9 years since the original post was made or both resistors are required for it to work. I connected one resistor to the tail lamp side so it would be there whether it was in stop lamp or turn signal and it didn't work. I put the right tail lamp in first and the turn signal worked and didn't fast flash but the turn signal wouldn't work if the brake light was on. Then I put the driver side in and the brake light stopped working on the right side and the turn signal wouldn't work on the left. Even without the resistor there, it should still work unless the BCM cuts power to the brake light if there is no load. I guess I'll redo my harnesses and put both resistors in and see what happens.

I just built the harness too... And had the same problem...

Fix :

I removed the 5 pin to 4 pin harness compatibility and matched the wires accordingly...
I left the two stated wires disconnected (per diagram) but attached the Brea and tail together...
I do have the hyperflash at the moment but it's bc I have led everywhere and have not tackled the resistor issues yet.... The lights however work flawlessly...

The only change I found to make this all work with ease is the yellow and blue wire... Tied together...

I can take more pix if anyone needs further help

I forgot to update my post. The harness needs to be built literally exactly as the schematic shows with both resistors for it to work properly. The trailer harness is actually a solid state device rather than just a simple diode and that’s why it did not work with just one resistor on the tail lamp side. It needs to be done that way for the turn signal to work when you’re on the brakes at the same time. Otherwise the lamps will not work correctly. Twisting the turn signal and brake light wires together is probably going to fry your BCM. And I doubt the turn signal will work when on the brakes with it wired that way.

You were right... It was only tested one at a time... And I found tonight... That when I activated turn sig. Both were flashing... I have started back as the diagram states...

As of now all works, but... If I activate Hazzard lights I get nothing...

Feedback..?

I'll update the competition soon

Looks good, I think.

What’s up with all the streaks in the picture? It looks like you either have a bunch of paranormal activity going on or your jumping to hyperspace.;)
