I considered the Grands before I bought our Denali Yukon. They are sweet.

Actually, how about $450. I’ll still cover freight. The air cleaner has a rub mark from the support arm. It gets covered, but it’s still there.I’ll ask my guy. I should have an answer in the AM.
Not a problem. My guy is low on “toy” funds currently. I’m sure it will be gone before he has extra saved.
Thanks
Just atv’s.
I’m selling our boat next spring and the atv’s in the fall of 2019. I loved towing with the Denali! It is a great tow vehicle.
But I won’t be doing much if any towing once we move. So I figured why not go with something a bit more sporty.

Nope. Buying a house on the water with a boat lift.Sounds like you might be retiring. Nice

Thanks man. It’s not so much a reward but a desire for a change. That’s even better! So if it’s not retirement, new job? Either way, congrats!
I’m sure you worked hard for it.

Man this whole thing when south, good luck my friend.I’m coming off lease this October.
I’ve enjoyed the Denali. I’ve actually recently had it ceramic coated, Blackbear tune, new tires, exhaust, intake, and vinyl wrapped the chrome. I’ve done all this with the intentions to purchase the truck.
The residual is $42k. Nada has a retail value of around $50k.
However just recently I’ve started to feel the shudder/vibration many have mentioned. It happens at around 30 mph and I’ve felt it also at 50mph. Switching to manual 7 does not get rid of it.
The tranny has been suspicious since day one. I’ve had the slam into low gear while slowing, the loud clunk from the torque converter going downhill, and it always lurches into drive after a slight delay coming out of reverse when cold.
Are these trucks covered by an extended power train warranty? I currently have 38k miles on it.
I could simply turn it back in in 2 months. But there is honestly nothing else out there that interests me or does what the XL can. Plus I’m not interested in entering into another lease on a $90k suv.
Actually I lied...I do like the new Durango SRT. But my wife thinks they are hideous. [emoji46]
If the tranny does go out is it covered by a special extended warranty? I had a taillight go out and it was covered because it was known as an existing problem.
Thoughts?

I actually went to look at one. I liked it a lot less than I had thought.I’m confused why no one has mentioned to look at the SRT Durango?! It is an SRT Grand Cherokee with a 3rd row!
You have the possibility of extending the lease as well. I did that on a couple of vehicles that were low miles.I’m coming off lease this October.

I hate to be that guy; I actually can’t stand that guy.
But the GC SRT...holy $*#! What a vehicle!
It will definitely never haul the amount of stuff as my Denali. No doubt about it.
But if you find yourself not needing the space that a full sized suv provides, the SRT is a amazing.
This things drives and handles like a beast. And the technology even surpasses the Denali. Yes, hard to believe.
I will always admire the Denali every time I pass one on the road.
But I’m really glad I went out on a limb to check out the SRT.

The deal was if I could find another vehicle for the same price as the buy out on my Denali, the wife approved. I did a 100 mile search on autotrader and found the SRT 97 miles away at a Mercedes dealership.Did you actually get the SRT? Thats not a cheap vehicle either... Since you're leaving GM did you consider the new Expedition, that's a closer competitor to the Denali.
The SRT actually stickered for $75k. So that is right below my Denali.I'm too tight. If I put all that extra dough into a nice ride on lease, I'd have bought it at lease end, especially as it is a 2015 with the 100,000 mile drive train waranty. But that is just me. We all are individuals and make different decisions.
