So.... What do ya do when the problem you were having hasn't come back for several days and parts are laying around that you ordered? You decide to decon your truck and 3 step detail the paint and 4 hours later, I got one complete side done!

Oh yeah I forgot about those old ones. Somewhere along the line they went to shit and I have no idea to tell when that happened so I just won't buy one.

Yeah I dunno man... outsourcing? Chose the wrong chinese manufacturer? Who knows. Personally, I think the same can be said for Kicker. Hasn't been the same since the Solo Barrick.

I'd just get another compressor.

This. Cost of a clutch isn't that much less than the cost of a new compressor.

Finally started playing with the front bumper ideas I've had. Sick of the rust, and had a denali front hanging around. Still not 100% sure, but figured I'd try some things..

Started by just putting on the denali. Don't like the "smile" under the grille and the contours around the turn signals are wrong. It fits, but it ain't right, so I started cutting.

I am going to Frankenstein the z71 top cap onto the denali lower. Here's where I ended tonight as it was dark and misquote mania.

Here's my mock up of the final product. I have a few minor (read: major) fitment and finish kinks to sort out, but I think it's gonna be cool.

Thanks. I thought I had a picture of the side. I'll get one later. The cap comes all the way up to the fender and eliminates the side gap completely. In fact, I think I will actually fasten it to the fender to line it all up. Now I REALLY need to paint the HD hood. Lol.

My only second thought is wondering if it is a little too street for my overall plan.

Dorman makes a clamp for those broken exhaust manifold bolts that actually works pretty damn good if it's one that you can't drill out.

Yeah dude I think both sides on mine broke at the very back towards the firewall and maybe even the ones in front of those it had a bad exhaust leak so I grabbed a ratchet to see if I can just snug them up and as soon as I put the sock it to them they just fell right out like they were sitting in their dead. My dad owns an auto shop here in town and he said that's common for these things.

I have extracted the broken bolt this past Saturday. We welded a nut and were able to take it out. Happy AF!!!
