Dark Ming Blue Metallic FTW!

Z71 will look good. Might need to do some LED pods up in the rear ended of that rack too.

I'm not sure if I'll use the Z71 rack or not honestly, I wanna do something like this

and it seems like it's an entirely different rack, or uses the base rack as a sort of standoff

not really a fan of LED Pods, but I'd love to put a lightbar on the truck, even though it'd never get use:p

Got the Tahoe sold today and went in for my tint.

Appointment was at 4pm and he finished at like 9pm.

Crazy how long it took, but the guy was awesome. We chatted the entire time, as he used to be into car audio.

I'm super happy with it, but couldn't get very good pictures because it was getting dark.

see the cop in the top left of the picture?

as soon as I pulled into this lot to take pictures, he pulled in too

apparently he had his daily tinted by the same guy, and was happy to see a good outcome :)

I leave tomorrow for Wisconsin for a week, but afterwards I've got a few things planned

1) Flowmaster 40 exhaust
2) 3" ish lift (Z71 springs, Blistein 5100 shocks, eBay keys)
3) new headlights + tail lights installed
4) plasti-dip rims, bumpers

then I found 3 potential things to fix

1) sounds like an idler pulley is going bad, so I'll replace that
2) the switch mechanism that changes A/C from the head area to feet area is broken, so it keeps trying to switch on its own
3) my speedometer went out on the way home, probably have to re-solder the stepper motor

Got back a bit early from the trip.

Headlights, tail lights, and 3rd brake light are in.

Just ordered my Head Unit, Flowmaster 40 muffler, backup camera, etc.

Looking into having someone build me some custom door panels for this beast.

And I've had some rubbing with these tires, did some digging and found out the OEM rims have a 31 offset, while these Hummer Rims have 25 offset, so I got some spacers to throw in there and hopefully eliminate rub.

ReUpped on my Plasti-Dip on these Hummer H3 rims. I had initially dipped them for my dad about 3 years ago, and didn't do the best job.

Also got my tail lights and 3rd brake light on.

Yea I learned that trick with my last truck , it was white so the cross beams stuck out like crazy.
Love the look now:Whoa::waytogo: .
I know it's not much of a change but black billet grille inserts would look clean . Find them on eBay for cheap like $30

Ah I see!

For most front end mods I don't really see a ton of value since I'll always have the brush guard on :(

Thinking about selling the HD hood for that reason

Anyways, quite a lot has happened with this truck in the last 24H!

It started out with installing a new Idler Pulley.

Here's a crappy little Windows Movie Maker Video I put together if anyone cares about it lol

then, I had initially told myself I wouldn't do audio in this vehicle, and I was gonna keep it small.....

but some stuff popped up that I couldn't pass up!

so, I took the new suburban on her first real maiden voyage, 800 some miles round trip from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Lewisport Kentucky.

I learned and reinforced some ideas about the truck

1) My speedometer randomly decides to work or not
2) My driver side, 2nd row window no longer rolls down
3) My A/C stopped working
4) My rear doors were filled with water

but I made the trip, about 7 hours each way, and picked up some goodies

Custom doors that'll hold 20 of the American Bass 8" Neo Speakers, 3 American Bass 4 channels, and 6 American Bass mono-blocks.

Also not pictured are some A-Pillars that each hold 4 full-range 4" speakers.

Shortly after that I ordered 200 square feet of deadener, so I should have quite a few projects with this truck moving forward:D
